I am a passionate tea drinker & a huge fan of the blends by BlueBird Tea 🙂 ❤ Why are they so special? Because their teas are anything but conventional. You will not wind up with typical stuff like “green tea & lemon” or “earl grey”. They mix a wide range of ingredients – fruits, flowers, spices, herbs, caramel, chocolate, and so on – to create some lovely, and unique varieties.
So far BlueBird Tea has over 80 blends, not to mention that every season they come out with 4 limited edition mixes. Their collection of summer teas this year includes: One in a Melon, Pineapple Sorbet, Summer of Love, and Ginger Beer.
I tried all four summer teas & they are all wonderfully delightful, and can be enjoyed cold or hot:
- Pineapple Sorbet is made with Chinese Chunmee green tea, lemongrass, calendula petals, freeze-dried pineapple, sumac berries and lemon peel. It’s light, refreshing and sweet.
- Their One in a Melon mix has Chinese Sencha green tea, black peppercorns, freeze-dried strawberry, and pomegranate flowers. This one is super fruity; as soon as you open the bag, you smell that fresh scent of watermelon. If I had to pick a favourite, this would be it!
- The Ginger Beer Rooibos blend is packed with ginger & citrus. Spicy & zingy!
- Summer of Love is a combination of bamboo leaves, chamomile, calendula petals, lavender, blue cornflowers, and red cornflowers. Beautiful flavours & gorgeous colours.
On their site you can find tons of other blends, available as loose-leaf tea or in bags. They also sell Matcha and all sorts of useful tea tools ( infusers, sacs, teapots ).
