Brush with Bamboo – The Ecological Toothbrush

When it comes to pollution, plastic waste is one of the biggest problems we are faced with. Whether it ends up in a plastic waste dump, in the ocean, or in the belly of some poor animal, every piece of plastic ever made is still out there. There is no way to get rid of it, and we are slowly covering the planet with it. brush with bamboo reviewI know that plastic recycling is not the answer to this problem, so whenever possible, I try to find alternatives to plastic-made products. Likewise, re-purposing plastic items that I already have lying around the house, is also something I always try to do. brush with bamboo reviewToothbrushes are one of those things you cannot live without, and if we change our toothbrush once a month as recommended, we are generating A LOT of waste. I was super excited to discover these bamboo brushes made by Brush with Bamboo. The handles from these green organic toothbrushes are biodegradable, the packaging is 100% compostable, and the bristles are BPA-free ( they are not biodegradable but they can be recycled. Unfortunately, the only biodegradable bristles available right now are made out of boar hair. I’m personally glad they decided to keep the product vegan friendly ). I’ve been using mine for some weeks now and am super happy with it. The toothbrush is just as sturdy as any other brush, and it leaves my teeth squeaky clean. 🙂brush with bamboo reviewIf you head over to their website, you can find out more about the company, how they got started, how you should use -, care for -, and dispose of your toothbrushes.
