Fava Bean & Pea Patties

There are so many delicious things you can make with a food processor, from dips and sauces, to raw desserts and ( a personal favourite of mine) yummy veggie patties. 🙂 Just today I made these glorious fava bean & pea patties, and served them with a cucumber salad. You can have this lunch ready in under 10 minutes, which is perfect because when its as hot as 40 degrees celsius outside ( Barcelona is sizzling hot right now!) you probably don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen. Fava bean and pea patties For this recipe I used Hodmedod’s split dried fava beans, peas, some dill, and tamari sauce. Whenever I make patties, I also mix in breadcrumbs and egg replacer powder ( it stops the mixture from being too sticky ).Fava bean and pea pattiesThese patties are very filling so I prefer to serve them with some salad rather than bread, and some Dijon mustard on the side. ❤

Ingredients
  1. 200 g cooked fava beans
  2. 200 g cooked peas
  3. 1 tbsp tamari sauce
  4. handful dill
  5. 80g breadcrumbs
  6. egg replacer ( equivalent of one egg )
  7. salt
Instructions
  1. Put all the ingredients in a food processor, and process until smooth.
  2. Mix in the breadcrumbs, and the egg replacer.
  3. Shape into patties and fry in the pan with a bit of oil until golden brown.
  4. Serve with salad.
