Time to talk superfoods! Guess what’s in this awesome green monster juice?? Glorious, glorious KALE.
Before my juicing days, my breakfast was basically cookies and coffee. Yes, delicious, but oh so unhealthy. The truth is, I never really knew how good and energised my body could feel until i traded in the sweet treats for healthy juices and smoothies. I have to admit, I still haven’t been able to trick my junk food loving self to like an all-veg juice, but I’m slowly getting there. For now, I prefer a combination of fruits and vegetables, and if I can mix in some superfoods, even better (kale, chia seeds, açaí powder and spirulina are some of my favourite ones).
This green monster juice is something I like to make at least once a week to kickstart my day.
- Handful of Kale
- 1 apple
- 1 carrot
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp agave syrup
- 100 – 200 ml water
- Wash all the fruit and veg and cut into small pieces.
- Put all the ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Add more or less water depending on how thick you like your juice.
