Following my review about the skincare range by Hemptouch, I wanted to circle back to their CBD oil. They recently launched these sublingual oil drops & it was just one of those products I was eager to find out more about, in great part because it was still so new to me. There seems to be a lot of talk and questions around the topic of CBD oil and its health benefits. Did a wee bit of research and what I found out is pretty awesome!
CBD oil is extracted from the Cannabis Sativa plant and is known to have a TON of healing properties. As far as plant medicines go, cannabinoids are among the most potent ingredients used in herbalism. They are used to combad a myriad of things ranging from stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia, to inflammation, seizures and pain. Below you can see a complete chart of the different cannabinoids out there and what they are used for:
Most commonly, CBD oil is used for its anti-inflammatory and anti-anxiety properties, or as an immune system booster. I have also seen that it comes in a bunch of different forms. For example, you can find it as a sublingual oil (Hemptouch sells them in these percentage concentrations: 3%, 5%, 10% and 15%) or as an ingredient in skin care products (used for its anti-inflammatory properties).
I have tried the 3% CBD oil for a period of a month. I found the taste to be very bitter…it really does make you feel like you are taking some sort of herby potion! But with so many health benefits in a single drop, does it really matter what it tastes like? 🙂
And as far as noticing any kind of “effects”, I can’t really say that I have. But then again, I only tried the mild formula. I am also pretty healthy and energetic & don’t suffer from health problems or any other discomforts, so I don’t think I can really appreciate the power of CBD oil to it’s full extent. Have any of you guys/gals tried it? If so, am curious to hear what you thoughts are, please drop me a comment. ❤
