Everyone has their guilty pleasures. In my case, I have a soft spot for all things spicy and garlicky. I know, it’s not very sexy to have your fingers and breath smell like garlic all the time, but hey, sacrifices must be made!
I’ll let you in on a a secret. Homemade vegan garlic butter is super easy to make. You can use it to stuff mushrooms, season mashed potatoes, and give extra flavour to your oven-roasted veg. It’s really up to you how you use it, the possibilities are endless. 🙂
If you don’t know where to get started, try this simple recipe. To fill 8 regular sized mushrooms, you’ll need some vegan margarine (2tbsp), garlic cloves (4 cloves should be more than enough), some fresh parsley (dry parsley works fine too but it’s not as flavourful), and a pinch of salt. Mix the ingredients together in a bowl, and salt to taste. Stuff the mushrooms with the garlic butter, and bake in a preheated oven (200°C) for 15-20 mins.
