I’m always on the lookout for interesting vegan-friendly products, and this week I got to try something really different – Huel! Huel is a nutritionally complete powdered food that contains everything your body needs to live healthy and thrive ( proteins, fats, minerals & vitamins ). What I like about this product is that it contains no strange ingredients. The base of the powder is a mix of oats, peas, brown rice, flaxseed, coconut, and sunflower lecithin. The classic powder is vanilla flavoured, but you can also find it in other varieties like strawberry, toffee, mocha, rhubarb, or unsweetened. The large Huel bags come with a measuring cup and a shaker, as well as an informative pamphlet with all the instructions you need to start using the power. You can use Huel to complement your diet ( to replace unhealthy snacks for example ), or entire meals. Once your body gets used to Huel, you can even use it to replace all your meals. I tried the vanilla version, and I personally like the flavour, it tastes a lot like oatmeal. I’m not sure I would go as far as replacing all my meals with Huel, but it’s great for breakfast or for in between meals when I get peckish. 🙂
