Ready to talk raw vegan treats? I’ve found just the thing! 🙂 Lovechock not only make the most glorious raw organic chocolate, but I was happy to see that the company itself is ethically driven.

Lovechock chocolates are made by hand in the Netherlands with 100% raw organic fair trade ingredients. They come wrapped in the most gorgeous eco friendly packaging ( even the plastic foil is compostable ) – on the outside you’ve got these lovely earthly tones, and on the inside an explosion of colours.  I love how when you’re treating yourself to a bar of Lovechock, all your senses are somehow engaged.

Every bar also comes with a daily inspiration. It’s only a small piece of paper, but because it’s so unexpected, something as ordinary as that becomes extraordinary (it’s all in the details!).

lovechock_reviewThe chocolate bars come in 7 delicious flavours: Cherry/Chili, Pineapple/Inca Berries, Almond/Fig, Goji/Orange, Mulberry/Vanilla, Pure/Nibs, and Pecan/Maca. They’ve recently also brought out  “Lovechock Rocks”, tiny bites of raw chocolate covered raisins. That’s some pretty yummy stuff right there!

The chocolate bars are all made with organic raw cocoa beans from Ecuador, superfoods, and coconut blossom nectar. The predominant flavour is that of pure cocoa, and that’s the way it should be. Nowadays most of the chocolates you find in stores are so overprocessed, you can’t even tell you’re eating chocolate anymore. I remember the first time I tried pure chocolate ( it wasn’t even 100% pure, most have been something like 80-90% cocoa) I was so shocked by it’s bittersweet taste. It was so yummy!

I tried the Almond/Fig, the Pure/Nibs, and the Goji/Orange. All three were great, but the one with goji berries and orange was my favourite. It’s a beautiful thing, treating yourself to something sweet, but knowing that you’re still feeding your body pure ingredients that nourish you. Seriously, people always say that eating chocolate is a “guilty pleasure”… after trying this chocolate, I can honestly say it’s just a pleasure. Nothing to feel guilty about! 🙂
