What first attracted me to Nature’s Design, was their collection of eco bottles made out of 100% natural, biodegradable materials. These bottles are AMAZING! The cap is wooden, the bottle itself is glass, and the sleeve is made out of cork.If you are still using plastic bottles, I cannot recommend enough that you switch to glass. Here are a few reasons why:
- 150 billion liters of water in plastic bottles are consumed each year – that’s A LOT of plastic waste!
- Every year, we’re creating more, and more plastic waste
- 70-90% of plastic water bottles are never recycled
- Most of that plastic ends up in landfills or in the oceans
- Plastic is here to stay! It takes hundreds of years to start decaying. It pollutes our environment, and poses a threat to wildlife
So yes, these bottles are eco, which is super cool, but that’s not the only great thing about them! The shape of the glass bottle itself has some beneficial properties. Due to over-processing, environmental pollution, and after travelling so far from it’s original source to get into our homes, tap water loses it’s natural structure. Because of that it becomes less energizing for our bodies, not to mention that it can even end up tasting pretty funky. That’s where Nature’s Design comes in! The interesting thing about all their glass and porcelain pieces is that they are designed in a way that helps restore the hexagonal shape of the water crystals ( illustrated below ). All you have do is let the water sit inside the recipient for 3 minutes. This process helps give the water a fresh, unaltered, natural flavour. The “Thank You” eco bottles come in 3 different sizes ( 0.3L, 0.5L, 0.7L ), there’s also a special bottle just for babies. 🙂 In addition, they make glasses, carafes, bowls and plates. Some of their products are engraved on the bottom with a “ Flower of Life” designs, each of which can have a different impact on our emotions and general wellbeing. For instance, the “Gold” Flower of Life enriches the water with life-force energy, the “Happy” variation can have a positive effect on your level of optimism, the “White” helps broaden your perception, and the “Platinum” strengthens your self-confidence.
So you see, a glass of water can be so much more than just a glass of water! 😀
