I’ve recently made the switch from pea protein to hemp, and I think I prefer it! The flavor is more earthy, and mixes better when added to smoothies or juices ( I never just mix it with water – yuck! ). So after coming to the conclusion that everyone needs some hemp protein in their lives (especially if you have a very active lifestyle), today I’d like to share a simple smoothie recipe to get you started down this path. 🙂What I love about this smoothie is that all the fruits are really easy to come by, none of that exotic mumbo jumbo ( I kid, I love weird ingredients but sometimes it’s just nice to bake and cook effortlessly ).For this recipe I’ve used some kiwi, peach, frozen banana, hemp protein, and a splash of plant-based milk. You stick it all in a blender, and watch it turn to goo! Pour it in a glass, and slurp away.
- 1 1/2 frozen bananas
- 1 kiwi
- 1 tbsp hemp protein powder
- 1 peach
- 50 – 100 ml of hemp milk ( any other plant-based milk works too )
- Stick all the ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.
