Veggie Fair in Sabadell

Here’s why I’ve been a bit MIA lately. This past weekend I participated in my very first veggie fair EVER! 🙂 It was exhilarating, exhausting, and I loved every second of it! We were there on Sunday from about 11am until 18pm, and we managed to sell almost everything. I prepared seven different kinds of desserts & some eco coffee. People seemed to love the super colourful stand, and the food was incredibly well received. We even appeared in the newspaper!veggie fair sabadellI feel like in Spain people are generally not familiar with “exotic” superfoods like maqui berry powder, or cocoa nibs, so I wanted to incorporate some of those ingredients in my baking.veggie fair sabadellAlmost all the recipes had an “unusual” ingredient. I made:

  • muffins with peanut butter and cocoa nibs
  • raspberry cake with maqui berry powder
  • two kinds of raw balls: raw cocoa & lucuma
  • chocolate crinckles – this one was the only “normal” one 🙂
  • pistachio, matcha and cocoa butter cookies
  • muffins with chia seeds and lemon
  • brownies with nuts and cardamom

I will be sharing some of these yummy recipes on the blog over the next few days, the rest I’ll be keeping for a dessert book I’m working on. 😉veggie fair sabadellI never thought I would say this, but I think myFridgie will be going to more fairs in the future!
